These are new post and aimed at post CCT/CESR doctors in Emergency medicine. The post holders will be working at 80/20 clinical to non-clinical split of total contracted time. There will be funding available for attending relevant external courses. The posts are offered on a fixed term contract for 6 months up to 12 months in the first instance. The post holder must be registered with GMC and hold a license to practice. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for delivering care to patients within the Emergency Departments at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital. The posts are adaptable to suit the candidate's areas of interest - Candidates will be supported in developing a new service that supports the wider emergency needs of the patients in Leeds. Leeds teaching hospital is a major trauma center and has been successful in delivering training to specialist trainees in emergency medicine and has also run a successful junior clinical fellow and a senior clinical fellow program over the years. This being new posts allows the candidate to tailor the non-clinical time to further develop their skills in emergency medicine and work towards a non-clinical portfolio.
