We are looking for Learner Support Zone Assistant to join our Student Support team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent, term-time only contract (36 hpw, 38 weeks per year), and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £21,857 pa including London Weighting. The Learner Support Zone Assistant role: Working as part of a team you will provide a high-quality customer focused centralised learner services/student support function. You will provide a welcoming, professional and effective front of house service to Learner Support Zone, and support to a range of administrative functions attached to learner services function. Key Responsibilities of our Learner Support Zone Assistant: To provide a welcoming, comprehensive and effective ‘one stop shop’ for all enquiries from students, prospective students, parents and other stakeholders, in person, by telephone, email or other forms of communication. Provide cover to other areas of the Learner Support Zone as required in particular ID cards station, etc Respond positively to support and resolve enquiries/concerns promptly Develop and maintain a high level of skill in the use of the College’s electronic systems and databases, including those used for management information, the logging of enquiries and customer contact, admissions, enrolment and student support and tracking. Our ideal Learner Support Zone Assistant should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy A good standard of general education An IAG qualification would be an advantage A high level understanding of customer service principles and requirements Knowledge of the Further and Higher Education environment and current College developments Up-to-date knowledge of student funding and fee remission guidance Knowledge of student support and welfare services and agencies Excellent front line customer service skills – patience, tact, sensitivity and good humour If you are passionate about success and can do the above, then we want to hear from you You will need to submit a covering letter within your application demonstrating how your personality, skills and experience meet our values for this role.
