About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Energy Storage Solution Manager based in London. This is a customer-facing role involving pre-sales, technical solutions, and inputs to product definition and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support sales initiation, technical sales, and value engineering.
2. Analyse RFP documentation to assess project scope and risk.
3. Conduct technical presentations and provide clarifications to customers.
4. Interpret and relay customer requirements into BESS solution designs.
5. Prepare accurate costing and financial analysis for tender submission.
6. Review and submit technical tender response bundles.
7. Analyse previous tender submissions to understand outcomes.
8. Keep up with storage market requirements and trends.
9. Understand regional energy markets and revenue streams for storage systems.
10. Study the competitive landscape for product development.
11. Influence product development based on customer needs.
12. Collaborate with customers and commercial teams to finalise contracts.
13. Improve tender response efficiency and speed.
Qualifications and Expertise:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
2. Fluent in business and technical English.
3. 5+ years of relevant experience.
4. Knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes in the relevant regions.
5. Familiarity with grid operator processes.
6. Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS systems.
7. Experience in designing and optimising utility-scale energy storage systems.
8. Ability to size Power Converter System (PCS) and battery system.
9. Familiarity with design concepts related to short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, and safety systems.
10. Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-stakeholder environment.
11. Additional European languages (Italian, German, Spanish) are a plus.
