About the Role
A well-established private day nursery in Stretford is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead its dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional with recent management experience to oversee daily operations, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) regulations.
* Lead, support, and develop a team of staff to maintain a high standard of care and education.
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are adhered to at all times, acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
* Manage nursery occupancy levels, budgets, and financial targets effectively.
* Develop strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote positive relationships and engagement.
* Monitor and evaluate learning environments to ensure they are engaging, stimulating, and meet individual child development needs.
* Carry out staff appraisals, supervisions, and training to support professional growth and maintain a high-performing team.
* Implement and oversee health and safety policies, ensuring a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Handle recruitment, inductions, and retention strategies to build and maintain a strong, motivated team.
* Manage nursery marketing initiatives and enrolment strategies to maintain occupancy levels.
Requirements
* Recent experience in a nursery management role (Deputy Manager experience may be considered for the right candidate).
* Level 3 (or above) in Childcare/Early Years Education (Degree in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent is desirable).
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* In-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong financial awareness, with experience in managing budgets and occupancy.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for providing high-quality childcare.
