This acute medical unit provides comprehensive, high quality care to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions who can be assessed treated and admitted to the acute trust where required. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment fostering person-centred care to enable patients to reach their optimum level of health and independence. We treat a wide variety of acute medical conditions from across all specialities, including respiratory cardiac and neurological conditions as well as other conditions, which may require careful observation, intravenous drugs or skilled assessment.
