Assistant Management Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance Recruitment is delighted to be working with a local business to assist in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for career growth, including the chance to take ownership of preparing full management accounts up to the review stage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, covering accruals, prepayments, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Support the budgeting process and contribute to cash flow forecasting.
3. Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making.
4. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices within the finance team.
5. Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy during audits.
6. Assist in the implementation of a new company-wide system.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
1. Practical experience with accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
2. Progression toward a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA (desirable).
3. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
5. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
6. A commitment to ongoing professional development.
