Job summary The post holder will work as in integral member of the Neurology Service, providing an exemplar service for patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis who have been prescribed disease modifying therapy. Main duties of the job The MS DMT coordinator role supports patients who are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and have been prescribed disease modifying therapy (DMT), the MS nurse specialist and the MS specialist consultant neurologist. Through proactive management, being the single point of contact for MS patients, the role contributes to improving patient experience. Key to this role is extremely strict organisation of nurse monitoring appointments, consultant review appointments and corresponding blood tests. It is imperative that DMT patients are closely monitored and their care co-ordinated.
