About this opportunity
If you love the challenge of working on multiple bid projects concurrently and thrive under pressure, this is the role for you!
Insurance, Pensions and Investments helps personal and business customers with their long-term protection, retirement, and investment needs. We support millions of customers with assets under administration and annuity payments in retirement every year.
You'll join us in the Pensions and Retirement Bid Team, where we look after the development and execution of our winning Workplace Savings business. You'll be a key player in several large New Business and Retention opportunities, supporting the Bid Managers in a timely way to respond to requests for proposals. You'll also play a key role in maintaining new business selection position through the completion of due diligence surveys for the intermediary market.
In summary, you'll be coordinating all bid-related activities with the entire bid team, from kick-off through to bid delivery.
Accountabilities will include:
* On identification of a ‘go’ bid, work alongside the Bid Manager to organise the setup of a bid kick-off meeting; discussing the agenda and attendees required; circulating documents in advance; arranging room bookings or conference calls.
* Ensuring effective and timely lines of communication between various bid stakeholders, including management of clarification questions and responses.
* Managing ongoing scheduling of meetings for the bid team at key stages, if necessary, depending on the size and complexity of the bid.
* Supporting the Bid Manager in engaging with the identified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who will provide content in response to the tender document and escalating delayed responses to seniors.
* Setting up, populating, updating and publishing a bid tracker on MSD to ensure the bid team are aware of the schedule and ensuring coordinated, centralised management of template documents and bid content.
* Responding to due diligence questionnaires from the intermediary market to protect selection panel position.
What you’ll need:
* A background of working on multiple bid projects at once, in a large and complex organisation.
* Knowledge and practical experience of bid management principles.
* Adept at handling large data collation exercises, in a bid environment, under tight timescales.
* Accustomed to building collaborative rapport with internal and external partners, demonstrating your ability to influence and lead.
* Experience of calling out and escalating potential key project deliverables which are at risk of being compromised.
* Advanced level Microsoft Office skills.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
* Knowledge of Qvidian proposal automation.
* Background in workplace savings or pensions.
About working for us!
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture.
We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
If you’re excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you!
