There is a particular child in Year 1 who has been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit) and needs the support of a teaching assistant on a full time basis ASAP. The child displays a number of challenging behaviours which can be related to their inability to communicate effectively and a short attention span. As an SEN teaching assistant, supporting the learning of the child is of paramount importance. - Year 1 Boy with ADHD - ASAP Start and full time - Supporting Learning in and outside the classroom As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would be expected to build effective communication and relationships with the child and with other children within the class.
