The Contract Management Senior Lecturer will provide subject expertise within a small multidisciplinary teaching team, focusing on enhancing teaching delivery and reflecting current, state-of-the-art, and emerging engineering practices.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Chartered professional (or qualified to work towards chartered status) with construction commercial and contract industry experience, to move into a senior teaching role. The Contract Management Senior Lecturer will demonstrate depth of knowledge and experience to be able to deliver construction commercial and contract content that is relevant to studies from the concept stage of a project until the final sign off at the end of any project. This will encompass the contractual and commercial complexities of Building, M&E, and Civil Engineering inputs needed and cover all levels of student academic achievement from Level 3 (trades courses) to Level 7 (master’s degrees).
Additional experience to support the role of Senior Lecturer – Contract Management:
* Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area
* MSc or equivalent working experience or teaching delivery in Contract Management
* Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM, RIBA, ICE) or able to gain professional registration within an agreed time after commencement
* Minimum level 5 teaching qualification or commitment to achieve this qualification within two years of commencement
