We’re looking for a qualified Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a welcoming, well-resourced specialist school in Bolton, supporting students aged 11–16 with complex needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and other associated conditions. Who are the students?
* Students with a diagnosis of Autism that affects communication, social interaction, or sensory processing
* Experience severe or moderate learning difficulties
* Have additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, anxiety, or behaviour that challenges

What does the role involve?
As an SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading a small class with the support of experienced teaching assistants
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs
* Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Using a variety of communication and learning strategies (e.g., visuals, routines, sensory tools)
* Working closely with therapists, SENCOs, and families to support holistic development
* Tracking and assessing student progress, adapting planning as needed
* Contributing to a positive, collaborative school culture
What do you need to apply?
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
* Experience in SEN settings
* Strong behaviour management and a flexible, child-centred approach
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
