About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Nottingham City Council is on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated person to lead on work with communities and partners on innovative approaches to crime and community safety. This isn't just any role - it's a chance to be at the forefront of tackling some of the most pressing issues, from crime reduction and anti-social behaviour to reducing re-offending and combatting serious violence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop strategic approaches to crime and community safety.
2. Ensure new and emerging issues are approached in a systematic way to ensure effective local responses.
3. Support and facilitate effective partnership working.
4. Work with partners to achieve better outcomes for Nottingham's citizens.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. An understanding of central government policy and legislation relating to crime, anti-social behaviour, reoffending, and substance misuse.
2. Good research and analytical skills, and the ability to provide clear written communication that effectively conveys complex information.
3. Good partnership and stakeholder management skills.
4. Experience of working in a multi-agency team and cross-agency partnerships.
A NPPV (Non-Police Personal Vetting) is required for this post.
