Currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join my client's team to help maintain the organisation's continued success. Your New Job In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the financial stability of the estate agency. You will work closely with our management team to provide information and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Financial Data Entry: Accurately record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Expense Management: Process and manage invoices, payments, and expenses while maintaining a well-organised and up-to-date filing system. Tax Compliance: Prepare and maintain records for VAT compliance and file VAT returns. Prepare accounts in readiness for Year End Returns. Ensure Annual Renewal: AML registration, Professional Indemnity & Business insurance, and Data Protection registration. Produce Regular Management Reports. Process payroll within specified deadlines. Provide administrative services for pensions. Handle all administration related to the above tasks, including filing. Answer queries from internal and external contacts. Process all new starters, leavers, absences, statutory leave, and pay. Process and reconcile all fixed pay instructions, e.g., basic salary changes, pay uplifts, etc. What You Will Need Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (experience in the real estate industry is preferable but not essential). Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Good understanding of accounting principles and practices. Accounting Qualification (at least AAT Level 3 or equivalent) Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements.
