Accounts Manager (Service Charge) - Hybrid Working - Bournemouth
Are you an experienced Service Charge Accountant looking for a role where your expertise makes a real impact? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with property managers, landlords, and leaseholders to ensure smooth financial operations? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Join a dynamic and collaborative accounts team, where you'll play a key role in administering and managing client service charge accounts. What You'll Be Doing:
* Assisting property managers with service charge budget preparation and entering data into MRI/Qube software.
* Managing tenant charges and ensuring accurate billing in line with lease agreements.
* Raising and issuing service charge demands to leaseholders.
* Overseeing banking transactions, including transferring Ground Rent collections to freeholders/landlords.
* Monitoring expenditure, cash flow, and budgets throughout the financial year.
* Ensuring accurate management fee billing and overseeing multiple monthly bank reconciliations.
* Preparing year-end accounts and working with external accountants for final reconciliation.
* Handling queries from leaseholders, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring a smooth and professional service.
* Supporting month-end reporting and ad-hoc projects within the accounts team.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in service charge accounting, with knowledge of MRI/Qube or similar accounting software (an advantage).
* Strong accounting skills, with experience handling all procedures up to trial balance and an understanding of financial statements.
* Excellent computer literacy, particularly in accounting and reporting software.
* A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
* A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* AAT/ACCA qualifications (preferred but not essential).
