We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to massive growth, are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their existing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Key Responsibilities of the Tooling Engineer will include but not be limited to:
1. The manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures.
2. Utilising traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines.
3. Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom.
4. Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs.
The ideal candidate for the Tooling Engineer will have the following Experience and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive or aerospace.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
3. CAD experience - any package.
4. Be PC literate.
5. Have good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Have good attention to detail.
7. Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding, etc. experience.
8. Have a minimum 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment.
9. Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment.
In return, the Tooling Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39-hour week with flexible start times between 6 and 8. Benefits include a 3% employer pension contribution, company sick pay, holiday entitlement which increases based on length of service, and a cycle to work scheme.
