About the vacancy We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisers to join our multidisciplinary Health and Safety Team at the UWE Bristol. We provide professional advice, support and guidance across the whole of the University on a wide array of relevant legislation. In this specific role you will work as a lead business partner to a portfolio of both colleges and professional services. The Colleges operate across all three of our major campuses and their teaching and research activities include art and engineering workshops, healthcare skills suites, laboratories and collaborative initiative working with other institutions and organisations. Staff and students also undertake a range of activities to include fieldwork and overseas travel. As a business partner you will be the first point of contact providing coaching, advice, support, training and audit support to the portfolio area within your remit. You will also work collaboratively with the rest of the Health and Safety Team as part of our day-to-day work. About you To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following attributes: a proactive professional health & safety adviser able to work and advise across a diverse range of risk topics experienced at working in a large complex organisation enthusiastic and able to engage and influence at all levels skilled with core health & safety competencies of auditing, training, developing and implementing policys able to demonstrate your commitment to continual development holder of NEBOSH Diploma or similar and Certified (CertIOSH) able to develop and deliver innovative improvements to health and safety management systems someone who enjoys collaborative team working and can lead by example as a business partner good at analysing and interpreting data, drafting complex reports and have excellent IT skills Please refer to the job description for the full details of essential criteria and key competencies for the role.
