Location: SALT Restaurant (New Opening), St. Brelade's Bay, Jersey
200 Cover restaurant and bar set against one of Europes best beaches.
Position Overview: SALT Restaurant, set against the stunning backdrop of St. Brelade's Bayone of Europes finest beachesis seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our new opening. The restaurant is undergoing a 1.5 million refit, opening scheduled for Mid-June 2025
Salary/Benefits
* Salary: £45,000 dependant on experience

About the Role of General Manager
This role requires a hospitable and communicative leader who will be at the forefront of the business, showcasing the best local ingredients from both land and sea. As a financially astute ambassador for our brand, you will ensure an exceptional dining experience that reflects our commitment to quality and service.
General Manager Key Responsibilities
Leadership & New Opening Management:
* Oversee all aspects of the restaurants pre-opening preparations, including recruitment, training, and operational setup.
* Foster a positive, energetic workplace culture emphasising service excellence.
Customer Experience:
* Cultivate a welcoming environment for guests, ensuring they receive outstanding service and experiences.
* Proactively engage with guests to collect feedback and consistently improve the dining experience.
Financial Oversight:
* Develop and manage the restaurant's budget and financial objectives, ensuring sustainable profitability.
* Analyse financial performance and implement effective cost control measures while maintaining quality.
Communication & Brand Representation:
* Serve as the face of SALT, conveying the restaurants vision and values to staff, guests, and the community.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Operational Excellence:
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while maintaining the highest food quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with the culinary team to design and execute menus highlighting the best local produce and seafood.
Strategic Growth:
* Employ marketing strategies and promotions to attract and retain guests while boosting brand visibility.
* Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities to position SALT as a leading dining destination.
General Manager Qualifications
* Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within high-level food service, with a track record in opening new restaurants.
* Exceptional leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on team development.
* Excellent financial acumen, skilled in budget management and financial analysis.
* Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse clientele and fostering positive relationships.
* Passionate about local cuisine and sustainability, particularly in sourcing ingredients from local land and sea.
