Lecturer Multiskills (Bricklaying and Carpentry) - Stephenson Road
South Essex College Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer in Brickwork and Carpentry to design, develop and assess Multiskills programmes for full and part-time students, based at our Stephenson Road campus (part of Basildon College).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in FE.
2. Deliver first class teaching to our full-time learners from Entry Level up to Level 2.
3. Expected to teach courses and programmes within the department while supporting associated courses and administrative duties.
4. Expected to undertake tutorial and pastoral duties while delivering first class teaching on related subjects.
Person Requirements:
1. Relevant industry experience is essential.
2. Previous brickwork teaching within a further education college or equivalent is ideal.
3. Qualified in their subject area and hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
4. Identify learners' needs and have effective communication, planning, and advisory skills while maintaining a positive learning environment.
5. Motivated and suitably qualified individual to join our dynamic team within the School of Construction, Building Services, and Automotive.

This is for anyone who has a teaching qualification, currently working towards a teaching qualification, or will start working towards the teaching qualification within the next 12 months.
