Roland Mouret, SP Collection, are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Junior Garment Technologist to join the Product Team. As Junior Garment Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring that luxury garments meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and finish. You will work closely with designers, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure that garments are made to the highest standards. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that luxury garments meet the high expectations of customers in terms of quality, design, and fit.
As Junior Garment Technologist, you will work directly with our current Junior Garment Technologist, Technical Manager and Technical Admin Assistant across all stages of the fitting process, along with the creative directors and design / product development teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* 3 years’ experience within a technical department
* Experience within a luxury brand
* Experience of leading fittings and recording and sending fit comments
* Understanding of pattern cutting, good knowledge of fabrics, technical components and sewing techniques
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring critical path is honoured
* Experience within a luxury womenswear brand with fashion week experience preferred
* Experience with fabric/mill test reports
* An understanding of complex garment construction
* Maintaining good relationships and communication with our supply base
* Tenacious, assertive, and determined attitude with excellent attention to detail
* Good negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Dedicated and committed person willing to progress as the company grows
* Team player
* Travel may be required
* Advanced in Excel
* Experienced in Adobe programmes
* Experienced in Zedonk
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Leading fit sessions from press / SMS stage through to pre-production fitting
* Ensuring clear fit comments and measurements are communicated to factories in a timely manner, considering design aesthetic, factory capability and fabric end use
* To ensure supplier base submit measurement specs prior to fitting
* Ensure garments are measured prior to fitting, concisely and promptly
* Ensure minimum measurements are followed and referred to constantly
* Ensure all trims are recorded and quality controlled
* Ensure grading rules are followed and sizing is consistent across all products
* To maintain golden rules and minimum make standards to ensure quality is of a high standard
* Ensure consistency across all products is managed
* Develop and maintain technical specifications for all garments
* Ensure fit/design changes are communicated to relevant departments
* Signing off final pre-production samples with creative director
* Awareness and management of key dates within the critical path for assigned categories across all fit stages
* Manage production between market and ex-factory date to ensure there are no delays to delivery
* Seasonal market research in fit, sizing and finishings
* Good knowledge of fabric and trim testing - ability to read and understand mill and lab test reports against testing requirements
* Manage any size and quality issues that may arise
* Conduct quality control inspections of garments to ensure that they meet all quality requirements
* Assess any consumer and wholesale returns
* Participate in seasonal imagery meeting to communicate any aesthetic changes to graphics prior to ecom launch
* Assist in collection shoots where required
* Ability to complete alterations to samples where required
