Job summary Manchester Community Dental Services are looking for an enthusiastic dentist to join our well established team treating children and adults with additional needs. The role will include providing sedation and domiciliary care. You should be innovative, flexible and committed to work in a team environment while providing high standards of clinical care. The role would suit a variety of dentists, from those with experience in general practice who are looking for a new challenge, to those who have recently completed Foundation Training or DCT posts who would like to work in a supportive environment to increase their skills in treating this group of patients. Main duties of the job Provision of a full range of clinical dental care for people with additional needs who have been referred in to the service. To provide dental treatment as required in a range of locations, including domiciliary care. This will also involve the provision of treatment under sedation ( accredited training will be given if necessary) To promote and maintain patients' oral health within NHS regulations. To provide dental screening or dental epidemiological surveys of school children and other priority groups if required by the service. To provide clinical leadership for the local dental team. To work with the wider clinical team and oral health promotion staff in the provision of high quality dental care for the patients To ensure the patients are seen within specified time limits within the dental contract.
