Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalised support to primary school students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour management strategies.
3. Collaborate closely with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to deliver targeted interventions and tailored support.
4. Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of every student.
5. Encourage the development of social skills and independent learning, empowering students to achieve their full potential.
6. Work in partnership with parents, teachers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for each child.
Requirements:
7. Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK-based primary school setting.
8. Deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students with SEN.
9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Empathy, patience, and an unwavering passion for working with children with special needs.
11. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
12. Relevant qualifications or training in special education are highly desirable.
