Our national commercial team brings together our general commercial, digital, IP, energy and renewables, projects, and procurement teams. Representing an impressive range of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients, public sector organizations, educational institutions, and industry bodies, the team plays a vital role in helping clients build growth and success. The team, one of the largest and most successful of its type, comprises sector specialists across industries including advanced manufacturing, life sciences, aerospace and defence, energy and renewables, transport and logistics, and international trade. Our lawyers are located across our UK offices and include nationally recognized leaders. The team also collaborates with US colleagues on international transactions and projects, and works with other member firms worldwide on international projects. We provide a blend of City presence and local knowledge to support foreign inward investors in the UK.
We have an opportunity for a 3+ to senior PQE commercial contracts lawyer to join our team to support our pipeline of projects.
What does the team do?
We advise on a full range of contractual arrangements related to strategic projects and daily business across various industries. We focus on supporting advanced manufacturing companies, from major process plant operators to specialized life sciences supply chain businesses. Our work includes procurement, supply chain management, product development, and routes to market. We are particularly active in energy transition, decarbonisation projects, and productivity initiatives.
You will be involved in all aspects of transactions and projects, including contract strategy, drafting, negotiation, data protection (supported by our privacy specialists), and risk management.
Joining us now is an exciting opportunity. You will be part of a diverse team that values support and creativity, exploring innovative ways to deliver advice. You will work closely with in-house legal teams and provide in-house style support to businesses without internal legal teams. Our team members' industry experience ensures your workload resembles in-house work, but with the variety of a broad client base, keeping your work engaging. You will also collaborate with specialists in other areas when needed.
You will help grow our work on multi-jurisdictional projects, working on large industrial projects for multinational corporations and supporting expanding scale-up businesses and SMEs. You will have the chance to assist regional and UK businesses in entering new markets, especially the USA and Saudi Arabia, and may have opportunities for international secondments.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
