We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health Officer/Senior Environmental Health Officer/Food Safety Officer/Senior Food Safety Officer to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Food Safety team.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload. A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle will be necessary as travelling around the borough is a requirement of the post.
The team is a busy, friendly, and professional team carrying out a range of work covering Food Safety, Food Standards, Infectious Diseases, Investigation of Food Complaints, Smokefree Compliance and Health & Safety (in food businesses). There will be opportunity to develop your skills and experience, and support is provided to ensure Officers achieve at least 20 hours CPD each year.
We offer flexible working arrangements and a generous leave entitlement of 30 days (excluding bank holidays) rising to 34 days with 5 years continuous service.
Hours: 37 per week (Alternative working patterns may be considered but are not guaranteed).
Salary: Grade 10: £37,938 - £44,711 (depending on experience)
Location: 3-5 St James's Road, Dudley, DY1 1HZ (Currently this position has a mixture of home, office and district working).
Although most work is undertaken in core office hours you will be expected to work flexibly and routinely outside of core office hours to ensure service delivery.
