Project Manager
My client is an established and growing global organisation that works within the electronics distribution sector, collaborating with clients in the Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, and Medical sectors. The role will be to prioritise and manage a team to ensure a successful and profitable delivery of major projects within the sales teams.
Working alongside a complex supply chain team, customer service executives, and operation leads to ensure that the project is delivered to the customer on time and right first time.
Engaging with high-value customers, detailing project plans, and progress reporting to add value to the customer proposition and then deliver the project against the agreed scope. To manage all projects efficiently and with minimal risk, whilst liaising with all key stakeholders to ensure we meet our commitments whilst ensuring maximum profitability.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all projects are delivered on-time within scope and budget, maximizing GP.
2. Conduct customer contract and supplier reviews.
3. Coordinate internal/external resources to ensure flawless execution of scope of works.
4. Report and escalate to management as needed.
5. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
6. Manage Stock Control/Kanban understanding.
7. Work with the wider team to resolve back markers.
8. Deliver Cost Saving & Lead time reduction initiatives.
9. Business intelligence reporting to all stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Project Manager.
2. Confident report builder and presentation creator/presenter.
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
4. Confident client-facing/team communicator.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
6. Ability to decipher and analyze data.
7. Measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
8. Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
9. Allocate resources to avoid bottleneck drawbacks.
10. Build upon existing industry relationships to develop the business.
11. Nurture in-demand talent by upskilling your team to mitigate the risk of skills gaps.
