An excellent opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join CIL as a Surface Mount Operator. Whilst Surface Mount experience is very beneficial, we are keen to hear from people who have transferable machine operating/production skills or experience within Electronics Manufacturing.
The role
As the SMT Operator, you will assist in the manufacture of a wide range of electronic assemblies within the Surface Mount Department, operating various machinery and programming whilst working collaboratively within your team.
Primary duties & responsibilities:
* Running the Surface Mount line to production schedule
* Assembly of printed circuit boards using fine hand tools & microscopes
* Operating various machinery as part of the production process
* Inspection of products to appropriate standards
* Ensure all work is carried out in a timely and accurate manner
* Report any problems with products or process to the SMT production supervisor or production manager
* Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
* Preventative maintenance and general housekeeping of the work area
The ideal person will demonstrate the following:
* Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
* Strong attention to detail
* Computer literate
* Ability to work well in a team
* Surface mount experience is strongly desirable
* Previous use of tools, microscopes or machinery would be advantageous
* Experience working in Electronics or an industry qualification is beneficial
