The Post:
This post is for a Senior Solicitor within the CLO Commercial Property Department. As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland's mission is to be integral to a world-leading health service, supporting Scotland's health. The CLO operates a Department-based structure covering Commercial Property, Commercial Contracts, Employment, and Litigation, with teams comprising experienced solicitors and support staff committed to delivering a responsive and cost-effective service to clients across NHS Scotland and the wider public sector.
The Candidate:
You will be a senior solicitor with extensive post-qualifying experience in a commercial property environment. You will be part of a team of solicitors and senior solicitors delivering a comprehensive commercial property service to the NHS in Scotland and the wider public sector. You will report to the Team Leader of Commercial Property Team B. Relevant NHS or wider public sector experience is beneficial. You should have experience managing your own workload and be accustomed to dealing with a diverse range of clients at differing levels of seniority.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
The CLO is located at Gyle Square, 1 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh. Most staff currently work partly at home and partly in the office, with a preference to attend the office at least one day each week. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
