Life Cycle UK is now supporting a 3-year Frame Agreement that covers primarily Maintenance and Modification at Equinor’s offshore platforms Heidrun, Njord A and B, Asgard A and B, Troll A, B and C, Heimdal, and Johan Sverdrup in the North Sea Norwegian sector, as well as the onshore facility at Tjeldbergodden (Norway) and is looking for engineering and design discipline Project personnel to join us.
We are looking for a Lead Instrument/Telecom/SAS Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.
What will you be doing?
1. Involved in a wide variety of engineering scopes ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Minor/Major Modification and Maintenance Projects and other Specialist Services
2. Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers to provide instrumentation, telecoms and Safety Automation Systems engineering services and provide technical direction to the team.
3. Liaise with client and other stakeholders in the execution of the project scopes.
4. Define the scopes of work required to align with clients’ requirements and provide input to budget estimates and planning to implement the scope.
5. Be innovative in identifying technical solutions.
6. Ensure team delivers work on Schedule and within Budget and in accordance with company procedures meeting the requirements of the project.
7. Active participate in HAZOP, FAT’s, design reviews and other relevant safety reviews.
8. Coordinate and manage instrument, F&G and Telecommunications system packaged equipment.
9. Wide knowledge with the aspects of Functional Safety and Safety Instrumented Systems to IEC 61511.
We think you should have:
10. HNC/HND level or University Instrument Engineering degree or relevant education with +10 experience in front end studies, FEED and/or EPCI projects from energy sector.
11. Broad competency within instrumentation
12. Experience in Telecoms and Safety Automation Systems preferred.
13. Experience in the international engineering standards associated with this role
14. Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID and LOPA reviews
15. Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and NORSOK standards preferred but not essential.
16. Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude
17. The ability to lead, manage, train and mentor instrument discipline engineers
18. A commercial mindset, good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
19. The ability to see solutions together with meeting customer expectations and requirements
20. Willing to work in a hybrid structure with regular visits to the primary office
