Position: Supply Chain Production Planner
Working in a small team in a growing business to ensure we adhere to our ethos of providing excellent customer service through a proactive approach with the management of our supply chain and production planning. You will be based within our Customer Service team which is the nucleus of our business, and the chosen candidate will be responsible for scheduling the production, raw materials and transport process at our Andover and Strood manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
* To generate, update and monitor consistently on a day to day basis the production plan to ensure we achieve customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
* Ensure the production capacity is not exceeded by ensuring the raw material supply does not exceed the daily limit.
* Have a general overview to ensure we are proactive in our planning approach taking into account capacity limits for raw materials, production and transport.
* Build a transport plan that adheres to the companies transport model for both sites, ensuring control of our transport costs.
* First line for communication of any late deliveries to customers via email.
* Expected to have the vision to see further than the day to day responsibility of production and supply chain planning.
* Analyse and report on statistical reports to identify key trends and data.
* Responsible for co-ordinating a formal response to any customer complaints.
Key Skills
* Education to degree level – 2:1 preferable or alternatively experience of a similar role.
* A strong belief in outstanding customer service and a desire to always ensure the customer receives excellent service.
* Must be organised with strong administration skills and always prepared to follow the task through.
* An ability to prioritise.
* Excellent communications skills in all environments i.e., face to face, on the telephone and via video call utilising applications such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
* Strong people skills and able to adapt to dealing with different types of personalities.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and must be computer literate.
Hours and Location of Work
37.5 hours per week, three shift weekly rotation:
* Week 1: 6:30am to 2:30pm
* Week 2: 9am to 5pm
* Week 3: 1pm to 9pm
Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch, based full time at the Milton Keynes site.
Holidays
Annual leave entitlement is 25 working days.
