Lead Youth Worker
Salary £34,431 to £36,035 based on JNC Scale Point 17 to 19, dependent on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for an inspiring Lead Youth Worker to build and deliver the best possible provision for young people in our community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in youth work, excellent multi-agency collaboration skills, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and lead an engaging and inclusive youth club for young people in Corfe Mullen.
2. Develop and implement dynamic outreach programmes tailored to the needs of young people in the area.
3. Build strong relationships with local schools, community organisations, and partner agencies to create impactful youth services.
4. Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of Assistant Youth Support Workers and volunteers.
5. Ensure the safety, well-being, and personal development of all young people participating in the programmes.
6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the youth programmes, preparing reports for stakeholders as required.
7. Champion youth voice, ensuring young people are actively involved in shaping the services.
Person Specification
1. Essential qualifications and experience:
o Educated to minimum level 5 in Youth Work.
o Proven experience in creating and delivering youth work programmes.
o Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
o Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
2. Skills and Attributes:
o A dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking approach to youth work.
o Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
o Ability to build positive relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Flexibility to work evenings and adapt to the needs of the community.
