About the role
Reporting to the Snr RDA Manager, we are looking for a Senior Application Technologist for Alcohol & Low/No Beverage to support and deliver against UK&I Alcohol & Low/No Beverage strategy. Please note: This role is a fixed term contract of 1 year with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team to create Alcohol Low / No beverages showcasing Kerry Flavours and Taste Modulation.
2. Interpret briefs to ensure the development of market suitable products in line with customer expectations, operational needs, and commercial needs.
3. Collaborate, building and strengthening relationships with key individuals within customer accounts to support growth & identify new opportunities, including:
1. Visits/calls with customers.
2. Planning and preparing presentations.
3. Process knowledge.
4. Collaborate with the commercial team and work closely with Business Development in applying all relevant technologies and keeping up to date with changes in the market landscape.
5. Demonstrate creativity through the development of new and exciting beverages.
6. Conduct regular market reviews, identify gaps, and create new products supported by sensory validation.
7. Provide processing expertise with customer support - ability to problem solve & think through challenges.
Qualifications and skills
1. Degree in a Scientific or Food Technology discipline.
2. Min. 2-3 years’ experience in the Food Industry in a similar role with exposure to the development and application of alcoholic beverages.
3. Teamwork is essential; the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & feedback results.
4. Ability to work cross-functionally.
5. Effective prioritization and management of a variety of projects/briefs.
6. Experience in building relationships & working with customers.
7. Proven track record of developing beverages, with experience in creating innovative beverages for the Alcohol & Low/No Alcohol market.
8. Creative, innovative, and proactive mindset.
9. Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
10. Commercial acumen and the ability to meet target price points.
