Job Title: Lead Veterinary Surgeon. Location: Blythwood Vets, Bushy Hours: 40-hours over a 4 day week with a 1 in 6 weekend rota, No OOH. Role type: Permeant Blythwood Vets has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon at their small animal branch surgery in Bushey. We are looking for a driven and experienced candidate to further develop and expand our current veterinary team. This role will be based at our lovely Bushy practice, there are typically between 2 and 4 Vets at Bushy each day who also spend time at our Hatch End clinic, so this role will involve working closely with our Head Nurse and Lead Vet at Hatch to organise the teams schedules. The ideal candidate would be confident consulting, have excellent communication skills and good surgical and diagnostic skills. We welcome applicants with specific interests and encourage and support cerficate studies, so if there is something you are passionate about the team would love to discuss this with you Key responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of clinical care of their own and within the business; understanding, utilising, and assisting in developing their team’s clinical skills to maximise provisions and level of service, and support in training and mentoring of the veterinary team. They will also be expected to inspire and motivate the team; collaborate and effectively communicate with team members and build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and their fellow colleagues.
