This is a senior leadership position with the successful candidate leading and managing an excellent team of talented, experienced and highly skilled project professionals across our important UK market. You will be responsible for strategic and organizational alignment, steering and control of project management activities across our PM1 organization. In this role you will work in collaboration with regional and global colleagues to build successful, high performing project teams in accordance with our strong company culture. You will have responsibility to ensure all project management activities are executed in line with the safety culture of the business, undertake senior customer stakeholder liaison, deliver project results and maximize the financial contribution to the business whilst being an important guiding influence on the international projects team in order to share knowledge, resources and lessons learnt across the portfolio. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the correct frameworks are in place to allow projects in new markets to adhere to exceptional health and safety standards and culture. You will report to the Global Head of Project Management and lead a diverse team across the UK. This role provides direction to the overall operation of group activities in the execution of a number of offshore projects, including commercial profitability and budget responsibility. How to contribute to our vision Your responsibilities will include : Coordinates overall planning of projects and decides on allocation of resources. Maintains constant communication to customers, outside contractors or other stakeholders. Monitors continuously the status of all assigned projects, and supports the accountable Project Managers Manages consolidation and completion of budget plannings for all projects, and ensures related reporting. Decides and allocates financial and personnel resources, to the assigned projects Sets up and monitors all assigned projects, and consults and supports the accountable Project Managers. Ensures that quality standards for Project Management processes are met at all times. Initiate improvements and ensures appropriate PM workflow environment. May clarify cases as an escalation point. Oversees and manages a dedicated team of Project Manager and/or Project Management Office staff. What you need to make a difference Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for: We are looking for an outstanding professional to join the team. You will have significant skill, competence, knowledge and experience in Project Management gained within the Offshore Wind Industry or Power Generation Industry or through other sectors that engage in large complex infrastructure projects and programmes. You will be someone who has excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with an ability to collaborate and drive performance under pressure whilst creating an energized positive environment. You will understand sales processes, understand industry related contract management techniques, be experienced in the management of subcontractors and third parties and demonstrate solid understanding of Project Management techniques and methodologies such as AMP, IMPA, PMI, PMA, Prince2, PMSiemens etc. You will be someone who has a proven track record of leading and delivering results in dynamic business environments and who can effectively engage and collaborate with multiple sets of stakeholders across various countries in an intercultural and diverse environment. People development, Leadership, communication and management will be key strengths of yours. This is a business-critical role and you will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and lead teams through complexity and uncertainty, to be a safety leader, to navigate through time pressures, to challenge the status quo and importantly have a commercial acumen for the benefit of the business. This role requires a significant amount of travel and so you will be able and willing to travel as per the demands of the role. A proven track record of delivery in SGRE or similar offshore wind business highly preferable. Fluency in English essential.
