Entergy Aviation began in 1927 with a 2:seat enclosed cabin modified biplane to a department today that manages the safe operation of all company:owned, contracted, and sub:contracted aviation equipment used for the expeditious business transport of Entergy personnel and for the operation, maintenance, and construction of the enterprise electric system. The five focus areas of the department are Aviation Corporate Jets, UAS Department, Safety and Governance, Maintenance, and Operations Control Center, comprising 26 team members. Entergy's corporate jet division was the first corporate flight department in North America to achieve IS:BAO certification and the first flight department in the world to achieve Stage III in the IS:BAO system. The very heart of both the Aviation department and the enterprise of Entergy is the safety culture. Safety is a shared responsibility; and every team member always remains vigilant to assure a safe environment around aviation equipment and to ensure every passenger and employee returns home uninjured at the end of the day.
JOBSUMMARY/PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for maintaining company aircraft to ensure safe, reliable transportation for company personnel, conducting operations within FAA rules and regulations, company policy and NBAA/VAI industry best practices.

Coordinates major inspections with flight and scheduling personnel to insure minimum aircraft downtime.

Coordinate daily maintenance with flight personnel to maximize aircraft availability.

Ensures constant cleanliness of aircraft and workspace at technician's location and maintenance facilities.
:
Ensure highest levels of tool control, accountability, etc. in support of tool control program (FOD).
:
Assumes responsibility for maintenance of aircraft storage facilities, all aircraft ground handling, and support equipment.

Become an integral part of Safety Culture by participating in the Safety Management System to include aircraft specific incident/accident reporting.

Ensure safe ground handling and towing of aircraft for departure and arrivals.
:
Coordinates purchase of parts and supplies.
:
Coordinates with vendors for loaner parts and equipment.
:
Negotiates least cost alternatives for all purchases.
:
Process vendor invoices and services.
:
Coordinates freight delivery services.
:
Maintains aircraft logbooks, associated paperwork, and Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program.
:
Maintains publication library to ensure accuracy and currency.
:
Attends recurrent training sessions to maintain a high level of proficiency.
:
Complete collateral duties, as assigned, and company administrative and training requirements in a timely and professional manner.

Any additional duties as assigned from the Maintenance Manager and/or the Director of Aviation.

Supervises contract maintenance personnel during all activities on an as needed basis.

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds of equipment or luggage, as needed.

Ability to walk, stand, squat, bend, twist, stoop approximately 90 of shift, as needed.

Typically works 8:hour shifts M:F, but schedule may change due to flight requirements.

Must be available to provide 24:7 on call support as well as work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
