We are excited to be recruiting a full-time Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and welcoming team at Goldenacre Dental Practice.
Goldenacre Dental Practice in Edinburgh has been established for over 100 years, providing the highest standards of care, services and dental treatments to all their NHS and private patients. The team of highly qualified dentists are passionate about the well-being and health of the patients and are constantly striving to provide the best service.
The practice has more than 10,000 patients all registered and entitled to NHS treatment as well as access to a full range of Private options.
Your Role
You will be responsible for providing a professional reception service and ensuring excellent patient care in line with our practice values. In addition, you will play an important role in ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidance.
Other duties include:
1. Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset.
2. Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained.
3. Answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges.
4. Maintaining practice reception cleanliness standards to ensure the patient has confidence in the quality of the care they will receive.
5. Managing the appointment book for all clinicians to ensure surgery utilisation and clinician productivity while meeting patient appointment needs.
About You
* Relevant experience gained in a general practice environment is desirable.
* Computer skills - essential.
* Proven track record in a customer/patient focused reception environment is required.
* Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care.
* The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills.
