Malvern Optical is a research and development provider primarily in the electro-optic and electro-magnetic (radio-frequency) systems domains. In addition, the Company provides electro-magnetic measurement services and electro-optical materials assessment and evaluation both at laboratory and platform level. We also provide independent technical advice within these areas to a number of customers.
As the Quality & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our ISO 17025-accredited Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. You will lead internal audits and liaise with external auditors, manage quality processes, and work closely with technical teams to uphold the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop the ISO 17025 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
* Lead internal audits and coordinate external assessments, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Act as the primary point of contact for accreditation bodies, regulatory authorities, and customers regarding quality and compliance matters.
* Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
* Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Chair and manage regular quality meetings and annual quality management reviews.
* Provide training and guidance to staff on quality and compliance requirements.
* Ensure document control and record-keeping in line with ISO 17025 and industry best practices.
* Ensure all issued company documentation (e.g. Policies, Procedures, Work Instruction, Risk Assessments etc.) are reviewed and updated as required.
* Work closely with laboratory/technical teams to maintain method validation, calibration, and measurement uncertainty processes.
Whilst the role is based near Pershore, the post will require the successful candidate to be willing to undertake occasional travel within the UK or abroad, in support of project or business activities and to occasionally work outside of normal working hours. The position is full time and will require you to be on site for at least 4 days a week. In return you will be offered an annual salary of between £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
