Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes within your designated section of the kitchen
* Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
* Maintain high levels of food hygiene and adhere to safety regulations
* Train, mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills
* Manage stock levels, ensuring efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to plan menus and create new dishes
* Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory for your section
* Ensure a smooth kitchen operation, especially during peak times
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
* Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) are preferred
