What you’ll do
As a software engineer at Vodafone, your primary responsibility is to develop and support our web applications: ensuring that they are operational, performant, and of the highest quality. This role is targeted towards passionate developers, who are enthusiastic and highly driven towards creating rich, user-focused applications.
* You will be responsible for the delivery of technical solutions with clean, well-tested code.
* You will be an active part of the engineering community team and collaborate with other engineers.
* You will build cross-browser solutions optimized for a wide range of devices.
* You will mentor team members and provide feedback and always be improving.
* You will be working in an agile development environment and always be keen to find new ways of working.
Who you are
* You will preferably have commercial experience with at least 1 popular web programming language such as JavaScript, Java, or NodeJS.
* You will have experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
* You will showcase a strong ability to debug code.
* You will preferably have experience with Git or other source control systems.
* You will have knowledge of building performance-driven websites with an understanding of network traffic, HTTP requests, and other performance-focused enhancements.
