Commercial Manager Opportunity – Tier 2 Contractor in North-West London

Role Overview
Position: Commercial Manager
Location: North-West London
Reporting to: Managing Director
Salary: £110-£120K (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-construction Leadership: Lead the commercial strategy during the pre-construction phase. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project planning and budgeting.
2. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, cost control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project finances rigorously to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
3. Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Ensure terms are favourable and mitigate risks effectively.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning. Implement measures to safeguard project profitability and compliance.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to drive cohesive project delivery. Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes communication and problem-solving.
6. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on commercial matters.
7. Performance Analysis: Conduct regular performance reviews and analysis to evaluate project profitability. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
8. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all commercial activities.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience: Significant experience in both Surveying and Pre-Construction.
2. Sector Knowledge: Extensive experience in Residential, Commercial, Education, and Industrial projects.
3. Attitude: Hands-on, can-do attitude with a strong track record of career stability.
4. Company Fit: Ideally suited for candidates with a background in small to medium-sized businesses.
