Job summary
The post holder will work as part of a national team implementing priorities through specific work streams delivered by the Acute Physical Deterioration Implementation Network. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to help deliver exciting projects of work to support health boards and trusts to improve the delivery of key health services across Wales.
Key areas of business requiring support include the management of programme documentation; the development, planning and delivery of learning and development workshops and task and finish groups, and the ongoing development of an informatics strategy supporting 'data to knowledge' outcomes for the network.
Working closely with the whole team, the Senior Support Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at ensuring the success and effectiveness of the clinical network. Main duties include:
1. Supporting the maintenance and management of programme plans
2. Supporting the development, implementation, and management of specific project plans
3. Ensuring the development and management of required documentation
4. Taking responsibility for the management of defined areas of work
5. Supporting the management of budgets
6. Supporting stakeholder communications and engagement
7. Ensuring the voice of service users inform outcomes and experiences
8. Engaging and influence clinicians through implementation of current national pathways and standards
9. Influencing whole system approaches
Main duties of the job
The main duties and responsibilities of the Senior Support Officer are to:

20. Produce reports on progress for internal and external use
21. Represent the specific work programme team as requested

The post holder will work as part of a team implementing priorities through specific workstreams delivered by the Acute Physical Deterioration Implementation Network, aligned to the Critical Care Trauma and Emergency Medicine Strategic Clinical Network, Networks and Planning, NHS Executive. The post holder will support the national ClinicalLead and Lead Network Manager to deliver on national and regional projects and will need to develop good relationships and work closely with a broad range of partners including the National Clinical Leads, Chairs, Welsh Government, Health Board colleagues, patients, third sector and other stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the work plan.
Key areas of business requiring support include stakeholder engagement and relationships management; management of programme documentation; the development, planning and delivery of learning and development workshops and task and finish groups, and the ongoing development of an informatics strategy to support data to knowledge' outcomes for the network.
