Job Overview
The Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in our new bespoke care facility Mullaghcarn Care Centre. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for clients with a physical disability or mental health care needs. The Senior Care Assistant will work closely with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that care is effectively implemented and that each resident receives personalised attention.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social well-being is prioritised.
* Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
* Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their condition.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
Skills
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Proven experience in supervising staff within a care home or similar environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with seniors.
* Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both residents and team members.
* Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
* A genuine passion for senior care and a commitment to improving the lives of others.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
