Vacancy: Plant Imporvement Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Plant Improvement Engineer will work as a part of the maintenance department to implement and maintain engineered solutions for our production & Maintenance teams, to achieve measurable increase in plant safety, availability, performance and equipment reliability.

Your responsibilities:
1. Support the drive to develop and implement best-practice engineering and process safety standards across the business
2. Work in conjunction with a nominated Production Manager to highlight key areas for engineering and EHS improvement
3. Analyse data sourced from OEE, CMMS and asset reliability programmes, to identify key areas for engineering improvements.
4. Utilise Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to systematically identify root causes of downtime, inefficiency and waste to drive OEE improvements
5. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to support the identification of the true root cause of the system, or process failure.
6. Use Management of Change (MOC) to ensure engineering modifications are delivered safely and in compliance with engineering standards and site procedures
Requirements for the role:
7. BEng degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably with a chemicals or mechanical bias
8. Some industry experience
9. Proficiency in use of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
10. Competent with computerised systems and some knowledge of engineering software packages
11. Knowledge of Permit to Work systems and control of works
12. Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
