Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on security, AWS management, global logistics, manufacturing processes, and the integration of IT systems. Data and Management Information (MI) Systems Ensure that the data and MI systems are optimised, scalable, and aligned with business needs, ensuring accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making. Drive the development and integration of MI solutions, ensuring that they support both operational and strategic goals. Global Supply Chain and Production Facility Integration · Lead the integration of global supply chain operations with the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth interactions between manufacturing facilities and the technical systems supporting logistics. · Manage and optimise the global logistics network, ensuring systems in production, distribution, and transport are aligned and integrated efficiently. · Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies across supply chain operations, driving continuous improvement and reducing waste. Process Optimisation and Lean Management ·Champion the use of Lean Six Sigma processes to optimise both technical and manufacturing operations, reducing costs while maintaining high service and production quality. ·Work cross-functionally to ensure all technical teams follow best practices for process optimisation, with a focus on reducing operational inefficiencies. ·Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across the company. Champion the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies within production systems, driving continuous improvement to reduce waste and enhance productivity. Utilise Data-driven insights to optimise data management practices, ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient use of data across business functions. Lead the technical integration of IT systems within production facilities, ensuring seamless communication and operations between hardware, software, and manufacturing processes. Where necessary implement ITIL processes and best practices across technical operations, streamlining workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring all teams understand and adopt Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and ITIL principles to drive operational excellence and customer-centric outcomes. Ensure that production systems are aligned with business needs, while driving the technical response to ongoing business transformations. Manage relationships with outsourced technical teams, ensuring performance standards are met and technical objectives are aligned with business priorities. Ensure all technical systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry regulations, delivering measurable improvements in risk mitigation and security outcomes. Monitor and report on the performance of all technical operations, ensuring systems meet organisational goals while driving improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency. Ensure that both project and business-as-usual (BAU) work are aligned with business transformation goals, optimising systems to meet evolving demands. Achieve high standards in service delivery, balancing project work and business-as-usual (BAU) operations to meet business goals. Implement matrix management practices to balance project work and BAU responsibilities. Key Skills Technical Expertise and Mentorship Extensive experience in infrastructure management, security, and AWS cloud operations, particularly in the context of global manufacturing and logistics. Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing large technical teams and outsourcing relationships (e.g., with teams in India). Strong technical background, with the ability to drive strategy and operations across complex global systems. Expertise in managing the integration of global supply chains, ensuring seamless communication and operation between production facilities, logistics, and IT systems. Security, Cloud, and Global Operations In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and the optimisation of IT systems in a multi-site, international environment. Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and its technical integration with business systems. Experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, particularly those involving manufacturing, logistics, and security. Leadership in Complex Technical Environments Strong leadership skills with the ability to make critical technical decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to think strategically and plan ahead, while maintaining a sharp focus on day-to-day technical operations and deliverables. Experience in outsourced team management, particularly with remote teams (e.g., in India), ensuring high performance and alignment with business objectives. Continuous Improvement and Lean Practices A deep understanding of Lean and Lean Six Sigma methodologies and a proven track record of implementing process improvements that drive operational excellence. Experience in optimising global technical systems, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining service excellence. Qualifications Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration. Professional certifications in ITIL, and PMP or PRINCE2 being beneficial. Additional certifications in AWS or other relevant technologies are advantageous. Experience in managing technical functions within a technology organisation with a focus on security, infrastructure, and cloud operations and extensive experience with ITIL and ITSM platforms. Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams and complex stakeholder relationships. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments and manage temporary responsibilities linked to ongoing change projects.
