Job Summary:
As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships with healthcare facilities to promote and sell our temporary nursing contracts. Your primary focus will be on expanding our client base and increasing revenue by leveraging your expertise in business development and sales.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition: Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the primary care and integrated urgent care sector.
2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their recruitment needs and offering tailored solutions.
3. Sales and Negotiation: Lead the sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation, to secure new business and increase revenue.
4. Market Research: Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to stay competitive and identify potential new clients.
5. Consultative Approach: Provide expert advice to clients regarding recruitment needs, workforce solutions, and staffing trends in the integrated urgent and primary care sector.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment consultants and account managers to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
7. Client Retention: Monitor client satisfaction and service delivery, addressing any concerns or issues to ensure long-term relationships. Escalate to the Director of Business Development and Service Delivery when necessary.
8. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, progress, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
9. Event Participation: Represent the company at healthcare industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote services and generate leads.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the healthcare recruitment or primary care sector.
2. Strong understanding of the UK healthcare industry, particularly primary care recruitment.
3. Demonstrable track record of generating new business, meeting targets, and closing sales.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
5. Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Ability to identify and secure new clients.
8. Ability to identify potential business opportunities.
9. Sound knowledge of all clinician types and funding streams.
10. Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
11. A proactive, solution-focused attitude with a passion for healthcare recruitment.
