Bridgnorth Hospital are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistants to work on the Agnes Campbell Ward.
The ward is busy and you will need to be able to work under pressure at times. You will work within the established nursing team on Agnes Campbell Ward alongside registered nurses, healthcare assistants and therapy staff providing care to patients on the ward.

Main duties of the job
* Implement all aspects of direct care including personal hygiene, toileting, moving and handling to ensure they are safely and comfortably positioned and assisting the patient to mobilise whilst maintaining the safety of both patient and nurse.
* Assist with the admission and discharge of patients with due regard to organisational policies and procedures.
* Escort patients to other departments or areas for treatment, investigation or rehabilitative purposes.
* Observe patient's condition and behaviour reporting changes promptly and accurately.

Person Specification
Training and Qualification
* Ability to demonstrate a level of English language and grammar commensurate with writing in service user case notes.
* Good standard of general education.
* Work towards NVQ and acquire knowledge of palliative care and rehabilitation.
Experience
* Common sense approach when faced with potentially difficult situations.
* Commitment to undertake NVQ training.
* Awareness of accountability issues e.g. confidentiality.
* Awareness of the role of the nursing auxiliary.
Knowledge and Skills
* Good interpersonal skills (written and oral).
* Maintain a professional approach to all team members, patients, relatives, and the general public.
* The ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff both written and oral.
