Job Introduction The Franchise Accountant, supported by the Assistant Accountant(s) will ensure the financial integrity of the Franchise Balance Sheet, ensuring efficient and effective accounting and reporting processes. Job Responsibilities Responsibility for the efficient, accurate and timely accounting for financial transactions, including the production of routine month-end reports ensuring compliance with applicable accounting, tax, legislative and other regulatory standards. Sign off relevant GL and Sub-Ledger Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviews. Ensure all policies and processes adhere to the Minimum Control Framework, act as a key point of contact for internal and external audit requirements. Full Accountability and ownership of all Franchise specific balance sheet accounts e.g. bonus debtor and vehicle funding Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Franchise P&L Full Accountability and ownership of investigating & resolving internal / external Customer / Supplier issues e.g. first point of contact for the Franchise Senior Leadership team The Ideal Candidate Qualified or part Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Ability to manage a range of external and internal customer requirements, some of which may be conflicting, with integrity and professionalism Strong communication skills, able to delegate effectively, prioritise requests and workload Able to organise and manage teams to consistently deliver to deadlines and work to high standards.
