My client, a market leader with a large local presence, is currently seeking 2 legal secretaries for their Maidstone office. There are two vacancies available: one within the family department and one within the commercial property department. Both roles will work within a friendly team environment on a full-time permanent basis.
The Family team deals with mid to high level family law matters, complex financial cases, pre and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence issues, and children matters. The team additionally assists with RSPCA matters.
In the Commercial team, you will be carrying out a range of legal secretarial duties, supporting legal advisors and other secretaries in our Commercial Property team. Previous legal secretarial experience is desirable, and experience of working within a conveyancing team would be an advantage, although full supervision, training, and development opportunities will be provided. The successful candidate will deliver excellent client service and make a consistent contribution to the efficiency of the Team and Firm.
Responsibilities:
1. Building relationships with clients and other solicitors/barristers' clerks in writing and over the phone
2. Diary management for allocated legal advisors
3. Arranging meetings/appointments - including booking meeting rooms and preparing documents ahead of the meeting
4. Using the team's precedents, copy typing or audio/digital dictation
5. Ensuring electronic files are kept up-to-date
6. Opening and closing/archiving files
7. Attending team and training meetings as required
