The Role of the Field Service Engineer:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
1. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
2. Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site.
3. Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems.
4. Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe.
5. Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner.
6. Request parts efficiently and effectively.
7. Provide good customer service skills.
8. Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
9. Supervise apprentices, when required, to ensure a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained.
10. Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment.
11. Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.
12. Always present a professional image.
13. Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
14. Ensure that your own tools are safe and legal to use.

The Ideal Person for the Field Service Engineer:
We are looking for someone with:
1. Solid mechanical aptitude.
2. Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines.
3. Experience in investigating & diagnosing technical problems, including climbing on top & underneath heavy plant machinery.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting.
5. Experience with lone working.
6. Excellent verbal, written, and critical thinking skills.
7. Proficiency with MS Office.
8. Strong interpersonal relationships, customer awareness, and commercial awareness.
9. Efficiency and the ability to work without supervision.
