Band 2 Night Support Worker Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
This is a 12 month fixed term/secondment offer to cover maternity leave. The hours will not support anyone that requires sponsorship.
As part of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust night service, there is an exciting new opportunity for Night Support Workers to become part of an expanding multi-disciplinary service within BCHC NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be expected to support the night nurses when responding to referrals to support patients in their own home. The team are currently under a consultation to change the base to Priestly Wharf, Holt Street Aston.
The staff member will predominantly work closely with the nurses and under his/her direction may be requested to respond to referrals independently that have been risk assessed and deemed safe to lone work during the hours of 21:30 to 08:00 hours.

We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, and flexible support worker who will join this multi-disciplinary team to assist in the prevention of inappropriate hospital admissions and the facilitation of hospital discharge, in line with the overall objectives of the service. The post holder will work as part of the District Nurse Night service and will provide a caring service for individuals in their own homes, under the direction of a registered professional. They will work in partnership with patients, carers, and other health and social care agencies to support and maintain patients at home.
The main aim is to provide care throughout the night by assisting the nurses when responding to referrals for support to patients in their own home.
