The Opportunity/Role
We are looking for a 3PL Warehouse Contract Manager, reporting to the Head of Logistics. The successful candidate will be representing Aliaxis in the day-to-day operations of our third-party warehouse. The key responsibilities will be to maximise efficiency, optimise productivity and engage a high performing team while driving health and safety across the estate.
The role will be based at one of our UK sites, which include Huntingdon, Cannock, Warboys, Lenham, Chesterfield, and Bedford.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Implement a program on continuous improvement in processes and service level.
* Oversee the contract management for our third-party warehouse functions and related distribution contracts for the UK and establish strong and measurable SLAs that drive service and efficiency.
* Develop & nurture a strong ‘one team’ working relationship with primary supply partner, ensuring resources are allocated to optimise effectiveness of operations.
* Participate as a member of the Logistics senior management team, providing support and cross-team mentorship and represent your branch to deliver transformational Logistics projects.
* Manage budget expectations within area of responsibility, with awareness of the performance of the equipment and operations.
* Daily liaison with other teams within wider operations set up to understand operational needs, provide delivery timelines and manage priorities.
* Ensuring all operational expectations are achieved and outbound deliveries are successful.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a senior logistics operations management role covering both warehouse and transport operations.
* Experience in the development of performing supplier partnerships through focus on KPIs and SLA management.
* Able to effectively influence stakeholders to define and implement action and improvement plans.
* Management and delivery of large transformation projects with 3PL partners across either warehousing or transport.
* Experience of inspiring & motivating teams in warehousing/logistics environments.
* Management of large budgets and accountability for contract services.
