The Role
Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for an e-Plus Receptionist to join the ESMS Junior School on a permanent basis from 12 May 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is part time, term time, working 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm) with a salary range of £10,296- £10,979 (ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales C), dependant on experience and qualifications. The role is based at the ESMS Junior School site at Ravelston.
The purpose of the role is to serve as a friendly and supportive first point of contact for children and parents at New Ravelston; ensuring the secure and safe collection of our youngest children in collaboration with colleagues. The role also requires the postholder to manage the telephone and undertake various administrative tasks assigned by the e-Plus Manager.
The successful candidate must have prior experience in a busy reception, preferably in a school setting, along with a strong understanding of ESMS structures and procedures. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while maintaining high professional standards.
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right work in the UK.
